After receiving his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2009, Terry Haverkost spent two years as an assistant professor in Connecticut. He returned to Lincoln in 2013 with the hope of making a lasting and positive difference in the lives of everyday citizens by getting involved in community and grassroots programs focused on education and the environment. Currently he is working on securing grant funding for the Southern Heights Food Forest.
Marisa is a Laboratory Scientist with a love for natural spaces and living things. While only recently acquiring a green thumb, she is excited to put her roots into a group with a mission like the Southern Heights Food Forest. Marisa has a passion to connect others to the project and is currently serving as the chair for the Southern Heights Food Forest Outreach Committee. Marisa enjoys playing keyboards and singing for Glo Worm, sewing, crafting, and hanging out with her cuddly trio of cats.
