Carol Ann was born and raised in southeast Lincoln. Her family and husband Erik’s family, have been long standing members of Southern Heights Presbyterian Church. She comes from a long history of educators and became a teacher herself. Retired from Lincoln Public Schools, but still substituting, she works primarily in early childhood education and early literacy. She has also worked as a teacher educator. When not working with children, Carol Ann enjoys running, biking, and quilting.
Knowing the importance of hands-on, active learning for young children, Carol Ann is excited about working with the Southern Heights Food Forest to develop a Nature Explore Classroom for children.
Although not a gardening expert, she enjoys planting flowers and vegetables in her own backyard. Neighbors often comment about it’s beauty as they walk by. She has a great appreciation for the other knowledgeable members on the Food Forest committee and is learning much from them.
She is thrilled to be a part of this venture that will provide so many ”fruitful” experiences for children and our entire community.
